He kept telling me to signal if it became 'too unbearable' and kept telling me 'this will hurt, brace yourself'. It went on for between three and four hours straight. Again, the dr had me restrained in the chair, with the gown covering just my torso. Then they left the room and came back with a specialist who used needles to poke about in the muscles in my lower leg muscles, thigh muscles and upper and lower arms wherever there was an X running currents of various strengths through my limbs. This went on for about half an hour, during which two nurses were managing the procedure and repeating the tests. All the time they used a marker pen to draw Xs in places on my body. Then they did the same on my lower legs, feet and thighs. Two nurses entered and then restrained my wrists and arms tightly to the chair arm and, using pads first, they ran electrical currents through my arms at intervals. I arrived at the hospital, was told to change in to a paper tie back gown and sit in a huge reclining chair. I thought they'd explain both a the appointment. I had no clue what to expect, or why i was there. I had my first nerve conduction experience about three months back.
